CBW Staffing is looking for a reliable and experienced Fabric Maintenance Operative.
The role will be based primarily within a high-profile City of London office building, working for a long-standing client. There may also be occasional requirements to attend other client sites across London and the South East. You will initially work alongside an experienced member of the existing maintenance team responding to maintenance requests from the client's Facilities Management team and helping to organise and manage the team's workload.
The role focuses on painting and decorating, general building fabric maintenance and supporting the wider FM team.
You will be responsible for:
Responding to client requests and organising day-to-day maintenance tasks.
Painting and decorating, including preparation, filling, making good and achieving a high-quality finish.
Minor carpentry and ironmongery repairs.
Replacing ceiling tiles.
General fixtures, fittings and building-fabric maintenance.
Carrying out maintenance tasks independently within high-quality, occupied office environments.
Working closely with the existing FM team to ensure client requirements are met.
Maintaining a professional, tidy and presentable standard at all times.
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in painting, decorating and general building fabric maintenance.
Confident working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
Reliable, punctual and flexible.
Comfortable working within a professional, occupied office environment.
Presentable and customer-focused.
Able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Organised and capable of prioritising incoming work requests.
Equipped with their own suitable hand tools.
Working Hours & Benefits
Normal working hours: 14:00–22:00 ( can be flexible)
Hourly rate up to £23p/h
Additional overtime opportunities available.
Occasional weekend work may be required and is available.
Long-term placement of up to 12 months.
