Project Handover Manager 12 month FTC

Careys is looking for an experienced Project Handover Manager to join our HSSQ team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover.You’ll lead the project handover process across multiple sites and disciplines, ensuring that documentation is accurate, compliant and delivered on time. Working closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors and regulatory bodies, you’ll help provide a smooth close-out experience and maintain the high standards our clients expect.This is an opportunity to take ownership of a business-critical process, improve how we work and make a visible impact across our project portfolio.
What you will be doing:

Leading and coordinating project handovers across multiple sites and disciplines.

Ensuring O&M manuals, as-built drawings, test certificates and other compliance documents are complete, accurate and delivered on time.

Working with project teams, clients, subcontractors and regulatory bodies to achieve smooth, compliant handovers.

Developing and maintaining handover checklists, templates and procedures that align with company and client requirements.

Monitoring handover readiness and reporting on compliance across the project portfolio.

Supporting internal audits and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

Improving the consistency and efficiency of handover and compliance processes.

Providing practical training and guidance to project teams.

Ensuring alignment with CDM regulations, the Building Safety Act and other relevant legislation.

Capturing lessons learned and applying them to future handovers.

What you will bring:

At least 3 years’ experience in project delivery, quality assurance or compliance within construction, engineering or infrastructure.

A proven track record of successfully managing project handovers and compliance requirements.

Expertise in compiling and delivering comprehensive handover documentation.

Strong knowledge of O&M manuals, asset registers, certification processes and client requirements.

A sound understanding of relevant legislation, statutory requirements, ISO standards and compliance frameworks.

Experience using digital document management and project-tracking platforms, such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or other EDMS systems.

Strong document-control skills, including version control, metadata tagging and verification.

Experience supporting internal audits and external compliance reviews.

The ability to identify gaps, implement corrective actions and improve working practices.

Clear, professional written communication and strong stakeholder-management skills.
