About the Role
Our client is a friendly and well-established Manufacturing business looking for a skilled Cable Assembler / Wire Person to join their team.
You will be responsible for assembling cable harnesses, PCB assemblies and sub-assemblies, working from technical drawings, schematics and detailed instructions. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble cables, PCB assemblies and sub-assemblies.
* Read and follow technical drawings, schematics and instructions.
* Carry out soldering, wire stripping and crimping.
* Complete point-to-point and semi-automated testing.
* Use hand and power tools to assemble components.
* Check completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
* Identify and report defective parts or issues.
* Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
* Work effectively as part of a small team.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience as a Cable Assembler, Wire Person or similar.
* Ideally 2 years' relevant experience, although candidates with strong manual dexterity will be considered.
* Experience within the electronics industry.
* Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
* Experience with soldering, wire stripping and crimping.
* Good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
* Ability to work accurately and follow procedures.
* Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
