Stores & forklift operative

Our Fabrication Engineering/Manufacturing client based in Norwich have an initial temporary opportunity for a Stores / Forklift Operative to join their stores team. Seeking someone who can commence asap, initially for a couple of week but scope for this to potentially be extended.

The successful candidate will have previous stores experience and a current valid counterbalance forklift license, as this would be required to fulfil the role.

Reliability is the key, please only apply if you can commit to the initial two weeks.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday (Apply online only) with a 30min break.

Hourly rate £14.00 - £14.50 p/hr.

The duties and responsibilities of the Stores Operative shall include; but not be limited to the following:

Goods-In/out:

·Receipt and physical handling of metal products, parts/materials from suppliers.

·Ensure delivery paperwork reflects the goods physically received and that this is correctly transacted onto the clients stock management system (4PS)

·Ensure goods are checked at the time of delivery on the system, to see if they are a shortage against a corresponding Work or Sales Order.

·Fulfil shortages to Works and Sales Orders and move completed Works Orders to the designated Production/Fabrication area in a timely manner.

·Locate and where appropriate, create a new suitable location, for items received to match space and existing stock matching.

·Administer all stock movements and control via the stock control system.

·Control and report all defective materials.

·Investigate any order discrepancy as it is identified and correct this on the system accordingly. Report such discrepancies to the department lead.

General use of the companies counterbalance forklift vehicle, moving and loading stock and deliveries as required on a daily basis, storing them in the designated and correct safe manner.

All associated housekeeping tasks keeping the stores area safe, organised & efficient at all times.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a manufacturing stores/warehouse environment with knowledge of completing paperwork and maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
