Level 2 Nursery Practitioner / Early Years Assistant

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Already Level 2 qualified and ready for a nursery where you can properly develop?

We are looking specifically for candidates who already hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or Childhood Studies. Newly qualified applicants are welcome, as are experienced Level 2 Nursery Practitioners who want a change of environment and a clear pathway towards Level 3.

This is not a role where you will be expected to stand at the side and simply tidy the room. You will get down to the children’s level, join their play, support daily routines and learn how meaningful observations and activities contribute to their development.

You may work with babies, toddlers or preschool children depending on your experience and interests.

Your role will include:

* Building warm and secure relationships with children

* Supporting feeding, sleep, nappy care or toileting routines

* Joining children’s play and encouraging communication

* Helping to prepare purposeful activities

* Supporting observations and children’s next steps

* Giving parents friendly and professional handovers

* Following safeguarding and nursery safety procedures

* Working closely with qualified practitioners and Room Leaders

You must:

* Already hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or Childhood Studies

* Be passionate about working with children

* Be dependable, engaging and willing to learn

* Be available for full-time nursery shifts

* Have the right to work in the UK or clearly state if sponsorship is required
