How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Field Sales Executive

Greater Manchester | Field Based | Up to £45,000 Basic + Commission + Car Allowance | OTE up to £69,000

    The Opportunity

We are working with a growing specialist training business that is expanding its reach across Greater Manchester.

With a strong reputation, an established academy, a very strong social media presence and a consistent flow of enquiries into the business, they are now looking for an ambitious and energetic Field Sales Executive to help drive the next stage of growth.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the market, meeting business owners, building relationships and turning conversations into commercial opportunities.

And importantly, you won't be starting from a completely cold desk.

You will inherit a warm pipeline, receive regular inbound enquiries generated by the academy and have warm leads coming through on an ongoing basis. Alongside this, you'll have the autonomy to create your own appointments, develop new relationships and build your own network across Greater Manchester.

The earning potential is also strong, with a basic salary of up to £45,000 plus commission of up to £2,000 per month, giving an OTE of up to £69,000, alongside a car allowance.

    The Role

You'll be responsible for developing new business across Greater Manchester, building relationships with businesses and identifying opportunities for them to access the training and development solutions available.

There are two key areas to the role.

    Selling Training & Upskilling

You'll visit businesses, meet owners and decision makers and understand their workforce requirements.

You'll identify opportunities where existing employees could benefit from additional training, development or upskilling, and introduce them to the relevant courses and programmes.

    You'll be:

Following up warm enquiries coming into the academy

    Managing and converting warm leads

    Arranging your own face-to-face appointments

    Visiting businesses across Greater Manchester

Building relationships with business owners and decision makers

Understanding their training and development requirements

Identifying opportunities to upskill existing employees

    Presenting the relevant training solutions

    Following opportunities through to enrolment

Building relationships that generate repeat business and referrals

    Developing Employer Partnerships

The second part of the role is developing relationships with businesses that may want to employ apprentices.

The academy has access to a strong pool of talented candidates, giving you another proposition to take to the market.

You'll identify businesses that could benefit from taking on apprentices, introduce the opportunity, understand their requirements and develop them into long-term employer partners.

    You'll be:

    Identifying potential employer partners

Approaching businesses and opening new conversations

    Introducing the apprenticeship proposition

Building relationships with owners and decision makers

    Understanding recruitment requirements

Matching employer needs with suitable candidates

Managing relationships through the onboarding process

    Developing repeat business and referrals

    Warm Leads + Self-Generated Sales

One of the biggest attractions of this role is the combination of warm and self-generated business.

The academy already receives a significant number of enquiries, supported by its strong online and social media presence. You'll also be provided with a warm pipeline and regular opportunities to follow up.

At the same time, you'll be expected to create your own opportunities through:

    Face-to-face prospecting

    Networking

    Business visits

    Relationship building

    Referrals

    Targeted outreach

    Your own appointments and meetings

So this isn't a high-volume cold calling role where you're expected to sit at a desk all day working through endless lists.

It's a field-based sales role where you'll have genuine opportunities to get out into the market, meet people, build relationships and win business.

    Managing Your Sales Pipeline

You'll take ownership of your opportunities from the initial conversation through to conversion.

    This will include:

    Managing warm and self-generated leads

    Following up enquiries promptly

    Arranging and attending appointments

    Maintaining an active sales pipeline

    Keeping accurate CRM records

    Managing your own diary

    Converting opportunities into sales

    Developing long-term business relationships

Reporting on activity, pipeline and results

Working closely with the academy team to ensure a smooth customer journey

You'll have plenty of autonomy, but you'll also have the support of an established business, a strong brand presence and a steady flow of opportunities.

    The Person

We're looking for a strong B2B salesperson with personality, energy and commercial drive.

You don't need previous experience within hair, beauty or apprenticeships. The key thing is that you know how to sell, build relationships and create opportunities.

You could come from a range of B2B sales environments, particularly where you've sold to business owners, directors or SME decision makers.

    We're looking for someone who:

Has proven B2B sales or field sales experience

    Is confident selling face-to-face

Is comfortable speaking to business owners and decision makers

Can work warm leads and inbound enquiries effectively

Is proactive about generating their own appointments

Is naturally confident, outgoing and personable

    Builds rapport quickly

Is commercially minded and understands customer needs

Is confident asking questions and having meaningful sales conversations

Is target driven and motivated by earning potential

Is organised and able to manage their own diary and pipeline

Enjoys being out in the market rather than being office based

Has the confidence to represent a growing brand

Has a full UK driving licence and access to a car

Has strong knowledge of Greater Manchester and the surrounding area

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with energy and personality.

Someone who can walk into a business, introduce themselves confidently, engage the owner or manager, understand what matters to them and turn that conversation into an opportunity.

    What You Can Expect

    Basic salary up to £45,000

Commission of up to £2,000 per month

    OTE up to £69,000

    Car allowance

    Warm pipeline provided

    Regular inbound enquiries

Strong social media and online presence generating opportunities

The opportunity to build your own appointments and network

    A genuinely field-based sales role

Autonomy over your territory and diary

    Laptop, phone and CRM

    Pension and holiday entitlement

    Direct access to senior leadership

The opportunity to play a major role in the continued growth of the business

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Field Sales Executive who wants a strong basic salary, genuine earning potential and the support of an established business, while still having the freedom to build their own sales territory and relationships.

If you're commercially driven, confident in front of customers and enjoy getting out there and making things happen, we'd love to hear from you.
