Project / Programme Manager

We are currently working with a well respected Automotive Parts Manufacturer based in Somerset who are looking to add a Project / Programme Manager to head up and oversee their Project and Programme teams and ensure continuity throughout all departments across the business in relation to Projects, NPI etc.

You'll be working for a 120 person company, dealing with duties included but not limited to:

* Lead multiple automotive NPI programmes from RFQ/feasibility through to production.

* Lead and manage an Engineering/NPI team of approximately 8–10+ people.

* Take ownership of project programmes, customer milestones and production handovers.

* Manage project plans, resources, priorities, risks, costs and deadlines.

* Ensure clear ownership of actions and hold teams accountable for delivery.

* Work closely with Sales and customers on technical, commercial and programme requirements.

* Take direct ownership of key or complex customer programmes, including senior customer interaction and escalation.

* Manage tooling, validation, APQP, PPAP and PSW activities.

* Identify and address project delays, risks and resource issues.

* Ensure programmes are delivered on time, to specification and within agreed commercial targets.

* Maintain a strong focus on cost, value and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.

* Work closely with the existing Engineering and R&D teams to utilise their specialist technical knowledge effectively.

* Provide structured reporting and clear visibility of programme performance to senior management

You also need to be technically credible whilst being commerically focused.

Paying £60,000 - £65,000 ideal with some flexibility for the right person. Onsite working Monday - Friday.
