How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Account Manager, Facilities Management

    Location: Birmingham
    Reporting to: Account Director

    Build a high-performing FM partnership

    CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is looking for an experienced Account Manager to lead facilities management delivery for an excellent Birmingham estate.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused FM professional who enjoys leading multidisciplinary teams, building strong customer relationships and continuously improving service delivery.

    You will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the account, ensuring that hard and soft services are delivered safely, efficiently and to an exceptional standard. Working closely with the customer, internal stakeholders and supply-chain partners, you will create a collaborative environment in which operational excellence and innovation can thrive.

    What you'll be doing

    As Account Manager, you will:

    Lead the day-to-day delivery of hard services and the management of soft-service subcontractors.
    Coordinate site teams and supply-chain partners to achieve contractual objectives and service standards.
    Build trusted customer relationships through regular progress meetings, site visits and proactive communication.
    Take accountability for the account P&L, protecting agreed margins and identifying opportunities for commercial growth.
    Lead and develop a diverse team of soft-services professionals, M&E engineers and contract support colleagues.
    Support the development of standard operating procedures, emergency arrangements and contingency plans.
    Promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure appropriate policies and working practices are regularly reviewed.
    Identify opportunities to introduce new services, improve account performance and increase profitability.
    Support the long-term retention and successful renewal of the contract.

    What we're looking for

    You will bring:

    Proven experience in a similar Account Manager or Contract Manager role.
    Strong experience within the facilities management industry.
    Excellent commercial awareness, with demonstrable experience of managing a P&L.
    The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and create a high-performance culture.
    Strong communication, stakeholder-management and customer-relationship skills.
    A proactive approach to operational improvement, innovation and account development.Experience managing a national or mobile portfolio would be advantageous. A recognised health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH, would also be desirable.
