About the Role
Complete Classroom Services are seeking an experienced, organised and proactive Senior Admin Officer to join a school in Southwark and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school administrator who is confident working in a busy school office and has a strong understanding of school administration, student records and attendance systems.
The successful candidate will support the smooth day-to-day running of the school office, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, teaching staff, students, parents and external agencies.
This is a varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the day-to-day running of the school administration office.
* Provide professional reception and front-of-house support.
* Maintain accurate student and school records.
* Manage and update student information using school database systems.
* Monitor and maintain attendance records and follow up on attendance-related matters.
* Support admissions, enrolment and student transitions.
* Prepare reports and administrative documentation as required.
* Handle enquiries from parents, students, staff and external agencies.
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
* Support school events, meetings and wider administrative activities.
* Assist with general office administration and organisation.
* Ensure administrative procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
* Work closely with senior staff and other departments to support the smooth operation of the school.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 1 year of experience working in a school environment.
Experience in a school administration or office-based role.
Practical experience using SIMS, Bromcom or Arbor school database systems.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
The ability to manage confidential information professionally.
Experience dealing with students, parents, staff and external contacts.
The ability to work independently and as part of a busy school administration team.
A proactive, professional and solution-focused approach.
DBS & Safeguarding Requirements
* The successful candidate will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check before commencing employment, in accordance with the requirements of the school.
* Candidates must be able to provide appropriate right-to-work documentation and satisfactory references.
* Employment will be subject to satisfactory DBS, reference and safeguarding checks.
* Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Applicants should have an understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within a school environment.

Desirable
Previous experience as a Senior Administrator, Senior Admin Officer, School Administrator or similar.
Experience supporting attendance, admissions or student records.
Knowledge of school policies and administrative procedures.
Experience working with SIMS, Bromcom and/or Arbor.
The Successful Candidate Will
