How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Recovery Worker - Macclesfield Supported Housing

    Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire

    Working hours: Part-time 18.5 hours per week (rota basis)

    Contract Type: Permanent

    Salary: £25,877.80 - £30,868.31 per annum (pro rata)

    Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

    About the service:

    Robin Hood Avenue is a small mental health, supported housing service, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.

    We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.

    About the role:

    * To support the people using our services to achieve their life goals

    * Oversee your own caseload of key clients

    * To work with individuals to develop practical and emotional life skills to promote independence

    * Promote physical, mental and emotional wellbeing

    * Maintain accurate, timely and confidential records

    About you:

    * Experience of working within the mental health sector

    * Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and people using the service

    * Ability to respond compassionately to sensitive and complex issues

    * Able to motivate, support and advocate for people using services

    * Able to keep good and accurate records

    * Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

    * Good IT skills, including in Word, the use of databases and email

    * Understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience

    * Willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties.
