Position: Senior Lead Design Technician
Contract: Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: £120-£140 per day, depending on experience
A secondary school in Greenwich is currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Lead Design Technician to join their team on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lead Design Technician to work within a well-established secondary school in Greenwich, supporting the Design Technology department and helping to ensure the smooth running of practical lessons and workshop facilities.
As the Senior Lead Design Technician, you will play an important role within the Greenwich school, supporting teaching staff and students across Design Technology. The successful Senior Lead Design Technician will have strong practical knowledge, excellent organisational skills and experience working within a secondary school or similar educational environment.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Lead Design Technician include:
Preparing and organising materials, tools and equipment for Design Technology lessons
* Maintaining a safe, organised and well-equipped workshop environment
* Supporting teachers and students during practical lessons
* Ensuring equipment is maintained and working safely
* Managing stock and ordering materials where required
* Supporting the wider Design Technology department
* Ensuring appropriate health and safety procedures are followed
* Taking responsibility for the day-to-day organisation of the workshop and practical resourcesThe ideal Senior Lead Design Technician will have previous experience working within a secondary school, college or similar educational setting. Experience within Design Technology, Engineering, Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics or a related practical subject would be highly beneficial.
