We are recruiting for a caring, patient and confident SEN TA to join a mainstream primary school in Bromley, supporting pupils with additional needs across KS1 and KS2.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has previous SEN experience, is confident supporting children on a 1:1 basis, and has strong behaviour management skills.
About the Role
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs
Work across KS1 and KS2, depending on the school's requirements
Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
Deliver individual and small-group activities
Assist teachers with classroom learning and day-to-day routines
Use positive and consistent behaviour management strategies
Encourage pupils to build confidence, independence and engagement
Adapt support to suit individual learning and behavioural needs
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
Previous SEN experience - essential
Relevant qualifications or training in education, SEN, childcare or a related area
Experience supporting pupils 1:1
Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
The flexibility to work with children across KS1 and KS2
Experience or confidence working within a mainstream primary school
A calm, supportive and patient approach
A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
