Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time opportunity within a mainstream primary school?
We are currently looking for a dedicated and supportive SEN TA to join a school in Dartford, providing targeted support to pupils across KS1 and KS2.
This role would suit someone who is confident working with children with additional needs and has a strong understanding of positive behaviour management.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:
Provide 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs
Work across both KS1 and KS2, depending on the needs of the school
Support pupils with their learning, development and engagement
Deliver focused 1:1 sessions and targeted interventions
Assist the class teacher with classroom activities
Promote positive behaviour and maintain clear boundaries
Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Adapt your approach to meet individual pupil needs
What We're Looking For
Previous SEN experience is essential
Relevant qualifications/training in education, SEN or childcare
Strong behaviour management skills
Experience providing 1:1 pupil support
Confidence working with children across KS1 and KS2
Flexibility to work within a mainstream primary school
Patient, reliable and committed approach
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
