Charoux is a fast-growing Mens and Womens designer brand launching in Fall 26, it is already stocked in the world’s leading accounts and is the centre piece of a fashion group, founded by Wil Beedle, that also includes Shoreditch Ski Club. The group also has an agency wing, designing, developing and producing collections for some of the world’s leading designer and luxury brands.
The Role
The freelance Designer Garment Technologist works with the designer on fitting, commenting and sealing the collection, post market to bulk.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead highly precise fit sessions for both male and female fit models across all categories. Emphasis on outerwear and cut and sew.
· Understand brand blocks and grading rules.
· Communicate with pattern cutters and vendors across all regions.
· Partner with in-house and factory pattern cutters to interrogate complex 3D draping and toiles. Troubleshoot balance and structural challenges across diverse fabrications and sizing charts.
· Dictate exact finishing methods for a vast array of luxury materials. Where necessary create meticulous, premium-tier tech packs
· Conduct technical risk assessments on low-volume, high-complexity collections.
Candidate Requirements
· Education: Degree in Fashion Technology, Bespoke Tailoring, Creative Pattern Cutting, or a closely related discipline.
· Experience: 5 plus years of technical experience explicitly within a premium designer environment, with proven experience handling both men's and women's apparel.
· Technical Mastery: Advanced expertise in garment construction, manual and digital pattern manipulation, fabric drape, and premium atelier finishing techniques.
· Creative Sympathy: A unique ability to respect and interpret a designer’s creative vision while delivering elegant, pragmatic technical solutions.
· Systems & Software: Experience with luxury-tier PLM systems and premium digital tech-pack tools. Competency in 3D fitting software (e.g., Clo3D / Browzwear) is highly desirable.
