An established civil engineering contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.
The company delivers projects across the civil engineering, utilities and infrastructure sectors and has secured a strong pipeline of work across Scotland. This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a supportive commercial environment.
The Role:
Assist with the commercial management of civil engineering projects.
Manage project costs, budgets and forecasts.
Prepare monthly valuations and payment applications.
Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
Monitor project variations and change.
Assist with contractual and commercial negotiations.
Prepare and maintain accurate commercial reports.
Manage subcontractor accounts and payments.
Assist with the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
Work closely with site and project management teams.
Identify potential commercial risks and opportunities.
Maintain accurate project records and commercial documentation.
The Candidate:
Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering.
Experience within utilities, infrastructure or civils would be advantageous.
Good understanding of commercial and contractual processes.
NEC experience preferred.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or working towards one.
