Lead Electrical Engineer

Lead Electrical Engineer | FEED | Offshore Energy | Norwich

I'm currently supporting a specialist offshore engineering organisation in their search for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical engineering and design delivery of a Minimum Facilities Jacket Platform FEED project based in Norwich.

This role will suit a senior electrical engineering professional with a strong background in offshore platforms, electrical systems design, FEED execution and multidisciplinary project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate Electrical Engineering activities throughout the FEED phase

Act as the Design Authority for Electrical Systems, providing technical direction across project scopes

Develop and oversee engineering deliverables including specifications, data sheets, drawings, calculations and technical reports

Lead the design of HV/LV distribution, MCCs, switchgear, UPS, earthing, lighting, small power and electrical control systems

Coordinate design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant industry, project and company standards

Interface with Project Managers, multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, vendors and subcontractors

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 10 years' experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or a similar industry

Proven experience in electrical systems, distribution and MCC design for offshore platforms

Strong experience delivering engineering project scopes and multidisciplinary projects

Strong knowledge of electrical design, calculations and engineering documentation

Experience with hazardous-area design, including the application of DSEAR and ATEX

HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

Desirable:

Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline

15+ years' experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or a similar industry

Strong HV and LV distribution design experience

Experience with MCC design

Experience working on or with top-tier COMAH sites

Experience providing construction, installation and commissioning support

This is an excellent contract opportunity to play a key role in a significant offshore FEED project, working with a collaborative and experienced multidisciplinary engineering team
