The Role - Cover Supervisor
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Enfield is seeking to appoint a dedicated Cover Supervisor for day-to-day supply and long-term opportunities starting ASAP.
As the successful Cover Supervisor, you will supervise students across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of their usual teacher. You will deliver pre-set work, maintain a positive learning environment and ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout lessons.
You will be responsible for managing classroom behaviour, taking registers, supporting students with their work where appropriate and ensuring that school expectations and safeguarding procedures are followed.
Previous experience working within a school, education or youth setting is desirable. Experience working with secondary school students, supporting learning or managing behaviour would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be reliable, organised, proactive and confident in building positive relationships with young people. Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and consistent when managing classroom behaviour are essential.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required for this role.
