How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Warehouse Team Leader
    Northampton, Northamptonshire
    £28,501 to £32,290 per annum, depending on experience
    40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, which may include early, late and weekend shifts
    This role will be predominately working a 2pm – 10pm shift, Monday – Friday

    The role

    As a Warehouse Team Leader, you WILL be responsible for overseeing and executing key tasks within the warehouse to ensure efficient operations. This role is task-oriented and involves organising, coordinating, and driving the completion of essential warehouse functions, including shipping. The Team Leader will act as a “hands-on” resource, ensuring that daily operational tasks are carried out with accuracy, safety, and in line with company procedures, including adequate staffing and process improvement.

    What we are looking for

    - Previous experience of successfully operating in a supervisory role in a warehouse operation (desirable).
    - Sufficient experience and knowledge of warehouse operations to effectively manage a designated area and provide an excellent level of service to the customer.
    - Ability to identify issues related to stock, shipping, and workflow bottlenecks and take the initiative to resolve them.
    - Used to working with KPIs and understanding their importance.
    - Experience of leading a team to carry out tasks to completion, able to coordinate and delegate within the team whilst remaining operationally “hands on”.
    - Where needed, able to support the Manager in the performance management, development, training or support of team members.
    - Methodical with proven ability to prioritise workload and tasks.
    - Familiarity with warehouse management systems and MS Office365. Competent in operating warehouse equipment.
    - Understanding of workplace safety and security regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
    - Ability to react within a complex and growing operational environment.
    - Forward thinking with the ability to “think on their feet”.
    - Financial understanding.
    - Exposure to continuous improvement techniques.
    - Understand the value of the service they and their team are providing.
