APT Education, a trusted, local Primary specialist, is recruiting a full‑time Behaviour Support Assistant for a supportive primary school in Kettering. This long‑term role begins October Half Term and offers a genuine temp‑to‑perm opportunity for the right person.

You will be supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, and emotional regulation difficulties within a structured, nurturing environment. This role suits someone calm, resilient and confident de‑escalating behaviour using positive strategies.

You will support pupils with:

SEMH needs

*

Behaviour regulation difficulties

*

Emotional and social challenges

*

ADHD / ASC

*

Trauma‑informed needs

Daily responsibilities include:

*

1:1 behaviour support

*

De‑escalation and positive behaviour strategies

*

Small‑group interventions

*

Following behaviour plans and EHCPs

*

Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher

Proven experience supporting challenging behaviour or SEMH

*

Confident using calm, consistent behaviour strategies

*

Available full time, Monday–Friday, 8:30–3:30

*

DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one

*
