How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teacher (EYFS & KS2) - SEND School - Reading
    Salary: MPS
    Location: Reading, Berkshire
    Contract: Full-Time, Permanent/Long-Term
    Start Date: ASAP or January Start Available
    Make a Difference Every Day An inclusive and supportive SEND school in Reading is seeking dedicated and passionate SEN Teachers to join their growing team. Opportunities are available across both EYFS and KS2 classes, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
    This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who are committed to helping children achieve their full potential within a nurturing and highly specialised learning environment.
    The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will:

    Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
    Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
    Support pupils with SLD, MLD and Autism to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
    Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
    Monitor progress and adapt learning strategies to ensure the best outcomes for every pupil.
    Contribute to EHCP reviews, target setting, and personalised learning plans.The Ideal Candidate
    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    Experience teaching pupils with SEND, either within mainstream or specialist settings.
    Strong understanding of Autism, SLD, MLD, and differentiated teaching approaches.
    A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to teaching.
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
