About the Role:
Help students develop confidence, curiosity and a deeper understanding of mathematics. Teach Now is recruiting a Maths Teacher for an independent boarding and day school in the Hertfordshire countryside, teaching motivated students aged 11–18, including AS and A Level.
Joining an established department, you will deliver engaging lessons, make complex concepts accessible and prepare students for examinations while encouraging independent thinking. You will also contribute ideas to departmental planning and resources.
Applications are welcome from early career and experienced teachers who bring strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for supporting students through secondary school and sixth form.
Requirements:
QTS or an appropriate secondary teaching qualification.
Secondary maths teaching experience, including placements for early career teachers.
Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching through AS and A Level.
Effective planning, assessment and classroom-management skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and willingness to complete required checks.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons for students aged 11–18.
Teach AS and A Level content with clear explanations and appropriate challenge.
Assess understanding and adapt teaching to different learning needs.
Support examination preparation and develop mathematical reasoning.
Maintain positive classroom routines and contribute to departmental planning.
