We are currently looking for a caring and reliable Midday Supervisor / SEN TA to join a supportive primary school in Havering.
This role would suit someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is confident providing 1:1 support during lunchtime. You will be working closely with pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, complex needs, and speech and language delays.
The successful Midday Supervisor / SEN TA will help ensure pupils are safe, supported and engaged during lunchtime, while providing individualised support based on their needs.
The Role
As a Midday Supervisor / SEN TA, you will:
Provide 1:1 support to pupils during lunchtime.
Support pupils with ASD, complex needs and speech and language delays.
Help pupils manage social interactions and communication during lunchtime.
Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
Encourage independence and positive relationships with peers.
Supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground areas.
Ensure pupils remain safe and supported throughout lunchtime.
Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team.
Follow individual support strategies and school procedures.
About You
The school is looking for a Midday Supervisor / SEN TA who:
Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school or SEN setting.
Has experience supporting children with ASD, complex needs or communication difficulties.
Is patient, caring and approachable.
Can build positive relationships with pupils.
Is confident providing 1:1 support.
Can remain calm and consistent when supporting challenging situations.
Is reliable and available for an immediate start.
Works well as part of a wider school team.
