The Opportunity

This isn’t a desk-based L&D role.

You’ll be working closely with our Manufacturing Leadership and Technical teams, spending time where the action happens and making sure our manufacturing teammates have the knowledge, training and clear instructions they need to perform at their best.

You’ll spot skills and process gaps, create and improve SOPs and work instructions, deliver practical training and maintain the records and competency matrices that keep everything on track.

When something goes wrong, you’ll help understand why. Was the process unclear? Was there a knowledge gap? Does the SOP need changing? Does the team need refresher training?

Then you’ll help put it right.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Creating, reviewing and improving manufacturing SOPs and work instructions
• Delivering engaging practical training, briefings and refresher sessions
• Assessing competency and ensuring teammates are properly trained and signed off
• Maintaining training matrices, records and compliance through our LMS
• Identifying skills gaps and working with Shift Team Leaders to close them
• Reviewing NCRs and quality issues to identify training or process-related root causes
• Working with the Technical Team to improve procedures and deliver corrective training
• Supporting GMP, BRCGS, Health & Safety and audit compliance
• Delivering inductions and mandatory safety training for new and temporary teammates
• Using training data to identify trends and report progress
• Supporting wider continuous improvement projects across Manufacturing

About You

You could already have experience within manufacturing, ideally food, nutrition, FMCG or another fast-paced, quality-led production environment, and understand the importance of clear processes, safety and compliance.

Most importantly you’ll be confident in creating SOPs and training materials, delivering practical training to manufacturing teams and using an LMS or digital training system to track progress and compliance.

Organised, proactive and approachable, you’ll enjoy working with people at all levels and won’t wait for someone else to spot a problem. You’ll investigate it, understand what needs to change and help make the improvement happen.

Even Better If You Have

• Experience with root cause analysis and NCRs 
• A Train the Trainer or similar qualification 
• Previous involvement in GMP, BRCGS or retailer audits would all be a real advantage.
