ES Recruit is recruiting experienced Structural Platers / Fabricators to join a well-established structural steel fabrication business based in North Yorkshire.
We have opportunities available across days and back shift, with regular overtime available and enhanced rates
This is an excellent opportunity for time-served Platers looking for secure, long-term work within a busy heavy structural steel environment.
Pay Rates
Day Shift - £18.06 per hour
Back Shift - £21.67 per hour (Includes 20% shift uplift)
Shift Patterns
Day Shift Monday - Friday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
40-hour standard working week with overtime available.
Back Shift Monday - Thursday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Friday: 2:30pm - 8:30pm
40-hour standard working week plus overtime opportunities.
The Work
You'll be fabricating heavy structural steel components using plate up to 100mm thick within a busy production environment.
Your work will include:
Plating and fabrication of heavy structural steel
Working with 5mm-100mm steel plate
Reading and accurately interpreting engineering drawings
Marking out and preparing steel components
Carrying out heat straightening
Working accurately to engineering specifications and tolerances
Using overhead cranes and lifting equipment
What We're Looking For
Heavy structural steel plating experience is essential.
You'll ideally have:
Proven experience as a Structural Steel Plater / Fabricator
Time-served or apprentice-trained background
Strong heavy engineering experience
Experience working with heavy plate up to 100mm
Excellent ability to read and work from engineering drawingsCandidates holding a City & Guilds, NVQ in Plating / Structural Steel or equivalent qualification are particularly encouraged to apply.
