Suppleo Education are delighted to be supporting students in Pentre, who are looking for a caring, patient and empathetic Teaching Assistant to provide personalised 1:1 support.
You’ll be working with students with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), anxiety and Children Looked After (CLA).
Students may be of all abilities and ages, from Early Years through to KS5.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced tutor or teacher who wants to make a genuine difference to a student's confidence, engagement and academic progress.
🌱 What You’ll Be Doing
● Supporting students with a range of ALN, including ASD and SEMH
● Creating a calm, supportive and encouraging learning environment
● Helping students build confidence and engagement with their learning
● Supporting writing tasks through structured prompts and constructive feedback
● Adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs and abilities
● Using resources provided by the school and other educational platforms
● Working collaboratively with the student, family and educational professionals
● Maintaining open communication with the student and family

🎓 Training & Qualifications
● Introduction to Safeguarding – FREE via Suppleo Education
● Bachelor's degree preferred

✔ Requirements
● Right to work in the UK
● Two references
● Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, or willingness to obtain one
● Experience in tutoring or teaching
● Patience, empathy and the ability to build rapport with students requiring additional support
● Flexibility to adapt teaching methods and scheduling
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills
