We are looking for a caring, passionate and reliable Chef to join our friendly team at Careat. This is to include covering a number of homes within a care setting across the West Midlands.
As one of our Chefs, you will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious and appetising meals for our residents, while taking into account individual dietary requirements, allergies and personal preferences.
You will play an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience and ensuring our residents receive high-quality meals that they can enjoy.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and prepare fresh, nutritious and well-balanced meals for residents.
* Cater for individual dietary requirements, allergies and special diets.
* Prepare meals suitable for residents with different nutritional needs and preferences.
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
* Follow food safety
* Minimise food waste while maintaining high standards.
* Work closely with care staff to understand residents' dietary needs.
* Prepare menus in line with nutritional guidelines and residents' preferences.
* Maintain accurate kitchen records where required.
* Keep the kitchen, equipment and storage areas clean and organised.
* Support and work positively with the wider care home team.
Job Requirements:
* Have a minimum of 6 months in the UK
* Hold a DBS (preferably on the update service)
* Have been employed as a Chef in a Healthcare setting within the past 12 months and have an understanding of IDDSI Levels
