What You Will Do:

• Manage daily demand planning to ensure requirements are placed in line with MOQ/MOV, lead-time guidance, and receipt activity.

• Build and maintain supplier relationships through clear communication and timely escalation of issues that cannot be resolved internally.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within the company’s quality documentation processes, ensuring the right data is always used.

• Work with suppliers and internal quality teams on supplier rejects, supporting corrective action and effective problem-solving.

• Negotiate cost reductions, protect pricing where needed, and strengthen preferential terms through supplier consolidation where appropriate.

• Manage open demand to meet dispatch and delivery targets, tracking promised dates and taking action on variances.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain activities, with the confidence to influence buying decisions.

• An enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with the ability to take ownership of supplier base and OTIF.

• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset for building effective supplier partnerships.

• Ability to work in a time-pressured environment while staying organised and detail-oriented.

• Familiarity with basic commercial controls such as payment terms, purchase price variation, and supplier performance tracking.

• A collaborative approach to cross-functional work, with a practical understanding of quality, safety, and delivery expectations.

This Buyer role supports the broader goal of delivering an end-to-end manufacturing solution that reduces costs and lead times while improving supply chain agility. With a strong focus on SQCDP targets, this Buyer position helps drive continuity of supply through effective safety stock management, dependable supplier oversight, and continuous improvement in how orders are planned and executed.

Location and Working Hours:

This role is based fully on site in Walsall, with working hours of 8:00am - 17:15pm Monday to Thursday, and an earlier finish time of 12:00pm on Fridays.
