How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Quality Engineer

    Northamptonshire

    £60k per annum

    The client is looking at its biggest ever year in 2027 and we're looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing business, taking ownership of quality activities within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

    The role could lead into a management position, progression is definitely on offer here.

    This is a hands-on role where you'll mentor a team of Quality Engineers, drive continuous improvement and work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure products and processes meet the highest quality standards.

    The Role

    Lead and develop the Quality Engineering duties/team

    Oversee quality planning for prototype projects, including CMM programming, inspection strategies and gauging.

    Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

    Support NPI and APQP activities, ensuring quality requirements are met throughout the process.

    Lead 8D problem-solving activities and resolve customer quality concerns.

    Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

    Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and relevant quality standards.

    About You

    Experience in a fast paced manufacturing quality role within precision engineering.

    Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015; AS9100 experience would be advantageous.

    Knowledge of CMM programming, inspection processes and problem-solving techniques.

    Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
