Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Monitor project expenditures regularly, comparing actual costs against budgets to identify variances early.
* Manage tendering processes by evaluating bids and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Track changes in project scope and update cost forecasts accordingly, maintaining clear documentation.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure financial targets are met without compromising quality.
* Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify that work aligns with financial plans.
* Prepare comprehensive reports on project costs, forecasts, and financial risks for stakeholders.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting, and financial management in construction projects.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
* Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, contractors, and team members.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail across multiple projects.
* Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field is preferred
