In this role, you will evaluate roofing projects, analyse specifications, and prepare comprehensive estimates that align with client needs and company standards. Duties
* Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop precise roofing cost estimates.
* Collaborate with sales teams, project managers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.
* Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data necessary for accurate estimation.
* Prepare detailed proposals outlining material costs, labor requirements, equipment needs, and timelines.
* Utilise estimating software and cost control tools to ensure accuracy and consistency across projects.
* Analyse supplier quotes and negotiate pricing to optimize project budgets.
* Support project teams during bidding processes, contract negotiations, and project planning stages.
Requirements
* Proven experience in roofing estimation or a related construction estimating role.
* Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and industry standards.
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure precise cost calculations.
* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and building codes.
* Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
