š The Role - Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant
As a Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs
* Supporting pupils with their learning, development and emotional wellbeing
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
* Helping pupils access the curriculum and take part fully in school life
* Supporting positive behaviour and helping pupils develop their confidence and independence
* Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs
* Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
* Monitoring and communicating pupil progress and wellbeing
* Creating a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment
ā We are looking for a Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant who has:
* A recognised Teaching Assistant/SEN qualification - essential
* UK-based primary school experience - essential
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
* A good understanding of inclusive classroom practice
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A patient, caring and consistent approach
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
* A proactive and professional attitude
