Eleven 11 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead a brand-new supported living service in King’s Lynn.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the setup and development of a new service, creating a positive, person-centred environment for individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and autism.

•Expected start date: Three months before the service opens
About the Role
Our client is opening a brand-new supported living service in King’s Lynn, providing support to 16 individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and autism within a newly developed community of self-contained flats and bungalows.
As Service Manager, you will play a key role in establishing the service, recruiting and developing your own team, including an Assistant Service Manager and Support Workers.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance while promoting independence, choice and positive outcomes for the people supported.
Previous experience of setting up a new service would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead, recruit, develop and manage a new team of support staff, creating a positive and supportive working environment.
•Oversee the setup and successful opening of the new supported living service.
•Ensure high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs, aspirations and goals.
•Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Active Support approaches to promote independence.
•Manage staff rotas, performance, supervision, training and development.
•Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation, health and safety requirements and organisational policies.
•Act as the CQC Registered Manager where required.
•Manage service budgets, monitor expenditure and ensure effective use of resources.
•Develop strong working relationships with families, advocates, multidisciplinary teams and external professionals.
•Promote continuous improvement, dignity, inclusion and positive outcomes for everyone supported.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced leader with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding social care.
Essential requirements:
•Experience working with vulnerable adults, particularly individuals with learning disabilities, autism or complex support needs.
•Proven experience managing and developing teams within a health or social care environment.
•Experience managing budgets and monitoring financial performance.
•Strong knowledge of safeguarding, CQC regulations and relevant social care legislation.
•Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
•Experience managing staff performance, mentoring and coaching.
•A positive, proactive and person-centred approach.
•Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable requirements:
•Previous experience setting up or opening a new supported living service.
•Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
•Experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concern and implementing Positive Behaviour Support.
•Experience managing a supported living or residential care service.
•A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business insurance.
