The successful candidate will support the commercial management of a major infrastructure project, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and senior stakeholders. Responsibilities

Support the commercial and contractual management of assigned project packages from procurement through to completion.

Assist with budgets, forecasts, valuations, applications for payment and monthly cost reporting.
*
Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts, including procurement, payment applications, variations and final accounts.
*
Monitor project costs, commitments and expenditure, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
*
Assist with change management, variations, compensation events and contractual claims.
*
Work closely with project managers, engineers and operational teams to support commercial performance.
*
Prepare accurate commercial reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
*
Support subcontract and supplier negotiations, ensuring contractual obligations are managed effectively.
*
Assist with procurement activities, including tender analysis and appointment of subcontractors and suppliers.
*
Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
*
Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or major construction projects.
*
Experience working for a Tier One contractor is highly desirable.
*
Good knowledge of commercial and contractual management, including NEC contracts, valuations, variations, forecasting and final accounts.
*
Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers on complex projects.
*
Strong commercial awareness with good analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
*
Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
*
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and relevant commercial/project management systems
Salary description
£40000.00 - £65000.00 per year
