How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant - Secondary School

    Location: Ealing, West London
    Position: Teaching Assistant
    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract: Full-time, term-time
    Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

    Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in a supportive secondary school?

    We are currently working with a well-established secondary school in Ealing that is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

    The school provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to develop academically, socially and personally. It has a strong focus on supporting students to achieve their potential and preparing them for future education, employment and life beyond school. The school promotes high expectations for behaviour, learning and personal development.     The Role

    Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students who require additional assistance

    Supporting students to access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons

    Working closely with teachers and the school's pastoral and support teams

    Supporting students with their academic, social and emotional development

    Helping students develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours

    Adapting support to meet individual students' needs

    Assisting with classroom activities and learning resources

    The Ideal Candidate

    Previous experience working with children or young people

    Experience working within a school or educational setting is desirable

    A patient, calm and empathetic approach

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Able to build positive and professional relationships with students

    Confident supporting students with a range of learning and additional needs

    Resilient, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team

    A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential

    Willingness to learn and develop within the role
