We’re recruiting an Assistant Store Manager for a successful and growing customer-focused business in Dublin. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves working with people, delivering great service and helping a team perform at its best.

You don’t need to come from a particular type of retail. We’re open to people from retail, hospitality, beauty, fashion, leisure, hotels, restaurants or other service-led environments. You could already be an Assistant Manager, or you might be a strong Supervisor or Team Leader ready to take that next step.

What matters most is that you’re confident leading people, love delivering a great customer experience and have the commercial mindset to help drive sales and performance.
And with a 36-hour working week, predominantly 4pm finishes and only one later evening, the role offers a genuinely great work-life balance.

What We’re Looking For

Experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or similar
Experience supporting, coaching and motivating a team
A genuine passion for delivering brilliant customer service
Confidence working towards sales, service or performance targets
Commercial awareness and an understanding of KPIs
Experience driving sales through great customer conversations, recommendations and upselling
A positive, hands-on leadership style
Confidence giving feedback and supporting colleagues to improve their performance
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Someone who enjoys being on the shop floor and leading from the front
A desire to develop, learn and progress their career
You don’t need previous Assistant Manager experience. If you’re a strong Supervisor or Team Leader already taking responsibility for people, customers and performance, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running and performance of the store
Lead the team and take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence
Deliver an exceptional, personalised customer experience
Support the delivery of sales targets and key commercial KPIs
Coach colleagues around customer engagement, selling, upselling and complementary products
Keep the team motivated and focused on daily and weekly targets
Support daily team briefs, communicating performance, priorities and expectations
Provide regular shop-floor coaching and real-time feedback
Support one-to-ones and colleague development
Help identify opportunities to improve sales, customer experience and team performance
Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new colleagues
Maintain excellent operational and presentation standards
Deal confidently with customer queries and resolve issues effectively
Lead from the front and create a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture
