How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As a Purchase Order Assistant in the property industry, based in Castleford, you'll be responsible for supporting the smooth processing of purchase orders and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Your role will help the accounting and finance department stay organised and on top of supplier transactions.

    Description

    Accurately input purchase orders onto internal systems.
    Maintain and update database records, ensuring all information is correct and up to date.
    Process large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy.
    Perform regular data validation and quality checks.
    Identify and correct discrepancies within system records.
    Support the wider team with administrative and data-related tasks.
    Ensure all information is recorded in line with company procedures.
    Generate reports and extract data when required.
    Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain missing or unclear information.Profile

    About You

    We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience in:

    Finance Administration
    Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable
    Accounts Administration
    Financial Data Administration
    Purchase Order ProcessingYou'll also have:

    Strong numerical and analytical skills.
    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    Confidence working with finance systems and databases.
    Advanced user skills across Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
    A methodical and organised approach to managing workloads.
    The ability to identify errors, investigate issues, and maintain high-quality data standards.Desirable Experience

    Purchase Order (PO) processing experience.
    Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger experience.
    Experience using Eque2 or similar ERP/accounting systems.
    Construction, engineering, property, or project-based industry experience.
    Strong reporting and data analysis skills.

    Job Offer

    Hourly pay of £14.00 - £17.00, dependent on the level of experience.
