We are recruiting a compassionate, commercially aware and quality-focused Registered Manager to lead a specialist 12-bed residential service in Pontefract, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and behaviours that challenge.

The role As the Registered Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the safe, effective and compliant day-to-day running of the service. You will lead by example, develop your team and ensure consistently high-quality, person-centred care.
You will work closely with senior leadership while having the autonomy to lead the service, drive continuous improvement and achieve positive outcomes for the people supported.
Salary and benefits
Salary up to £48,000 per annum, depending on experience
Full-time, permanent position
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
33 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays

Opportunity to lead a quality-focused service with a Good CQC ratingRegistered Manager responsibilities As Registered Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Leading, motivating and developing a team of support workers, senior support workers and care staff.
Delivering safe, high-quality and person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
Maintaining compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, health and safety legislation and internal policies.
Ensuring robust care plans, support plans, risk assessments and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans are in place and regularly reviewed.
Promoting independence, choice, dignity and meaningful outcomes for people supported.
Managing staff rotas, recruitment, induction, training, supervision, appraisals and performance management.
Completing audits, quality assurance checks and improvement plans.
Managing occupancy, budgets and day-to-day service performance.
Building positive relationships with families, external professionals, commissioners and local stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act (MCA), DoLS and safeguarding requirements.About you To be successful in this Registered Manager position, you will ideally have:
Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Service Manager, Home Manager, Supported Living Manager or Deputy Manager ready to step up.
Experience within a CQC-regulated adult social care service.
A background supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental health needs and/or behaviours that challenge.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, Registered Manager Award or equivalent qualification.
Strong working knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, MCA, DoLS, the Care Act and health and safety legislation.
Experience of managing and developing staff teams in a care or support setting.
Confidence with compliance, audits, care planning, risk management, rota planning and budget management.
Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
