Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer looking for a new opportunity around Exeter?
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management organisation for a skilled Gas Engineer to join an established engineering team supporting a major commercial contract.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a stable, long-term position, with a strong salary package and the chance to work across a varied range of commercial gas systems and plant.
The Role
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you'll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of gas appliances, systems and associated plant across the contract.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Carrying out statutory inspections of commercial gas appliances and associated plant.
Completing planned and reactive maintenance and repairs.
Working on large commercial boilers and associated systems.
Carrying out maintenance and fault-finding on direct-fired AHUs.
Supporting the annual maintenance programme for the gas network.
Auditing gas maintenance and compliance across the contract.
Ensuring all gas certification and documentation is maintained and up to date.
Responding to breakdowns and carrying out effective fault diagnosis and repairs.
Supporting other engineering and maintenance activities where appropriate.
Maintaining high standards of health, safety, customer service and professionalism.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer with a strong background in commercial and industrial environments.
You should have:
Commercial ACS Qualifications
5-10 years' experience in a similar commercial Gas Engineer role.
Proven experience working with large commercial boilers.
Experience working on direct-fired AHUs.
Commercial catering gas experience would be advantageous.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work confidently with clients and colleagues.
A structured and organised approach to your work.
Strong attention to detail, particularly around safety and compliance.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
