Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A well-established construction consultancy in Birmingham is looking for an ambitious Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to build their career while delivering a varied portfolio of residential, hotel and commercial developments. The successful Project Manager will join a respected consultancy with strong client relationships, interesting projects and a supportive environment for continued progression.

The Project Manager will work across projects at different stages, supporting clients from initial briefing and design through procurement, construction and completion. They are looking for a Project Manager who is confident working with multidisciplinary teams, enjoys taking ownership and is keen to develop into a more senior position over time.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting and managing the successful delivery of construction projects across the residential, hotels and commercial sectors.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing and managing project programmes, coordinating consultants, monitoring design development, supporting procurement, managing risk, chairing project meetings and maintaining regular communication with clients and contractors.

You will have the opportunity to manage your own projects while working alongside experienced senior colleagues on larger and more complex developments.

The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will ideally have:

Previous Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
Experience working on residential, hotel, commercial or similar development projects
A good understanding of the construction lifecycle from pre-construction through to completion
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders
Good knowledge of programmes, procurement and project reporting
A relevant construction, property or Project Management degree
Ideally working towards MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB or another relevant professional qualification
A proactive approach and desire to progress within consultancy Project Management
