How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant Primary School

    Overview
    Join our dynamic educational team as a Teaching Assistant and play a vital role in fostering an engaging, supportive learning environment for students of diverse abilities. This paid position offers the opportunity to work closely with educators, students, and families to promote academic growth, social development, and confidence. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help inspire learners to reach their full potential while gaining valuable experience in education and special needs support.
    Duties
    * Assist teachers in delivering classroom instruction tailored to individual student needs, including those with disabilities or autism
    * Support students during lessons, activities, and transitions to ensure a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
    * Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to reinforce learning concepts and build student confidence
    * Implement creative writing exercises and other engaging activities to stimulate student creativity and communication skills
    * Monitor student behavior, provide encouragement, and promote social interaction among peers
    * Collaborate with educators and specialists to develop personalized learning plans for students requiring additional support
    * Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior incidents, and activity participation
    Skills
    * Experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings
    * Knowledge of special education strategies and experience supporting individuals with disabilities or autism
    * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and families
    * Ability to adapt teaching methods creatively to meet diverse learning styles and needs
    * Proven tutoring or mentoring skills that foster motivation and academic success
    * Creative writing skills to develop engaging lesson content and activities
    * Compassionate attitude with a passion for helping students succeed academically and socially
