Secondary SENCO | All-Through Primary & Secondary School | Haringey | November 2026 / January 2027 Start
Reeson Education is working with an all-through primary and secondary school in Haringey that is looking to appoint an experienced SENCO to support its secondary phase.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Secondary SENCO who has a strong understanding of SEND provision within a UK school and is looking to take on a key role within an all-through setting.
The Role - Secondary SENCO
As the Secondary SENCO, you will play a central role in coordinating SEND provision across the secondary phase, working closely with pupils, families, teachers, support staff and external professionals.
Responsibilities will include:
Leading and coordinating SEND provision across the secondary phase
Overseeing the identification and assessment of pupils with additional needs
Supporting teachers to develop effective inclusive classroom strategies
Monitoring and reviewing EHCP provision
Working closely with parents, carers and external agencies
Supporting staff with SEND advice, guidance and training
Ensuring appropriate interventions and support are implemented
Contributing to the wider SEND strategy of the all-through school
Maintaining accurate SEND records and ensuring statutory requirements are met
Working collaboratively with colleagues across both the primary and secondary phases
The Ideal Secondary SENCO
The school is looking for a Secondary SENCO who has:
Previous SENCO experience within a UK-based school - essential
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and provision
Experience working within a secondary school setting
Experience with EHCPs and annual reviews
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to work effectively with teachers, families and external professionals
A collaborative and proactive approach to SEND leadership
Start Date & Location
The position is available from November 2026 or January 2027, depending on the successful candidate's availability.
The school is conveniently located in Haringey with excellent public transport links, including the Victoria Line and local bus routes. The nearest station is approximately a 5-minute walk from the school.
Please note: there is no parking available at the school, so candidates should be comfortable travelling by public transport.
