Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Overview
As an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality mechanical building services designs across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to all stages of design and ensure solutions meet client expectations, regulatory requirements and sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Develop mechanical building services designs including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and public health systems
*
Produce detailed calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports
*
Support project delivery from concept through to completion
*
Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, architects and contractors
*
Ensure compliance with industry standards, legislation and best practice
*
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the design process
Candidate Requirements
*
Proven experience in mechanical building services design within the UK
*
Strong understanding of relevant regulations, standards and design methodologies
*
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software
*
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
*
A proactive, organised and detail‑driven approach to project delivery
