As a Senior Payroll Assistant, you'll take ownership of a varied client portfolio and play a key role in delivering a high-quality, end-to-end payroll service to a range of clients. You’ll also have the opportunity to support senior leaders, help develop junior members of the team, and get involved with more complex payroll duties. Key Responsibilities:
* Processing end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Handling complex payroll queries and providing advice on PAYE, pensions, and statutory deductions
* Building strong client relationships and delivering a high level of service
* Working closely with the wider team to improve processes and efficiencies
What the client is looking for:
* Experience in payroll processing within an accountancy practice or bureau environment
* Knowledge of payroll software such as Sage Payroll or Xero Payroll
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
* Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and colleagues
* A proactive and adaptable approach, with a genuine interest in developing and progressing within the firm
