Protocol Education is proud to be working in partnership with a number of primary schools across Harlow, including several schools where we are the preferred staffing supplier through exclusive recruitment agreements. As demand grows, schools are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.

You may be supporting pupils:

On a 1:1 basis
Within small intervention groups
In specialist SEN hubs
In mainstream classroom environments

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH and other additional learning needs.
Deliver targeted interventions and tailored support programmes.
Encourage engagement, independence and positive learning behaviours.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families.

What We're Looking For

Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
SEN experience is advantageous but not essential.
A patient, caring and resilient approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
