Key experience required:
* Experience commissioning diesel generators and critical power systems
* Data centre, power generation or industrial commissioning background
* Strong electrical knowledge across LV/HV systems and switchgear
* Experience with generator controls, synchronisation and load testing
* Ability to read electrical drawings and commissioning documentation
* Experience with SAT, functional testing and client handover
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Able to work independently on site
Key responsibilities:
* Carry out commissioning and testing of critical power systems
* Complete generator start-up, synchronisation and load testing
* Support SAT, functional testing and final handover activities
* Identify and resolve electrical and control system faults
* Work with clients, project teams and equipment suppliers
* Complete commissioning reports and test documentation
* Ensure works are delivered safely and to project requirements
Project focus:
* Data centre commissioning projects across the UK
* Critical power systems, standby generation and LV/HV infrastructure
* Diesel generator installation, testing and handover
* New-build and upgrade projects within live data centre environments
* Mission-critical power delivery for major operators
Salary description
£75.00 - £79.00 per hour
