How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You'll work closely with senior leadership on strategic communications programmes, bringing strong strategic thinking, excellent media relations skills and a confident, considered approach to corporate communications.

Alongside your client responsibilities, you'll have genuine people-management responsibility, managing and mentoring junior team members including Account Executives and Interns.

    Key Responsibilities

Act as a trusted senior point of contact, building strong and lasting relationships with clients

Provide strategic communications counsel across a range of corporate communications challenges and opportunities

Develop and execute corporate communications strategies alongside senior members of the team

Lead media relations activity, identifying relevant journalists and proactively developing opportunities

Draft, edit and oversee high-quality communications materials including press releases, pitches, briefings, thought leadership and opinion pieces

Monitor the news and business agenda and provide clients with relevant insight and counsel

Support clients with corporate reputation, profile-raising and thought leadership programmes

Work collaboratively with wider teams to ensure excellent client delivery

Take responsibility for account processes, team workloads and day-to-day delivery

Support the commercial performance of accounts, including identifying opportunities for growth and maintaining profitability

Line manage and mentor junior team members, including AEs and Interns

Set work, provide constructive feedback and support the ongoing development of junior colleagues

Contribute to recruitment, appraisals and the wider development of the team

    What We're Looking For

Proven experience working across Corporate Communications at an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager level

Strong media relations and communications experience, ideally across business, corporate or reputation-led accounts

    Previous people-management / line-management experience

Excellent client management and communication skills

Ability to work confidently across multiple accounts and competing priorities

Strong writing, editing and strategic communications skills

Commercially aware, organised and able to take ownership

    Why Join?

Brand-new role created due to client wins and team growth

Recent acquisition allowing for an independent agency feel with the support and stability of a larger group

Join an established, independent communications agency with an exciting pipeline of work

Opportunity to work with high-profile corporate clients on strategic communications programmes

Genuine responsibility for people management and team development

Strong opportunity for progression as the agency continues to grow

    Benefits / Perks

    Hybrid working

Private healthcare, including discounts on gym memberships and cashback options for healthcare and dental

    Cycle to Work scheme

    5% employer pension contribution match

25 days' annual leave, increasing by 1 day for each year of service

Sabbatical available after 5 years' service
