We are supporting an established fire and security business with the recruitment of an experienced Security Systems Engineer to cover Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas.
This is a predominantly service and maintenance role, offering plenty of variety across residential and commercial properties.

The role
You will be responsible for keeping electronic security systems operating effectively, carrying out planned maintenance, resolving faults and completing smaller works as required.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Servicing and maintaining CCTV, access control, door entry and intercom systems.
*
Identifying and resolving technical faults across electronic security systems.
*
Carrying out reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance.
*
Completing smaller installation works and system upgrades.
*
Responding to customer call-outs and providing technical support.
*
Maintaining accurate service records and job documentation.
*
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant standards.
*
Working closely with the service coordination team to ensure jobs run smoothly.
About you
We are looking for someone who brings:
*
Previous experience working as a Security Engineer or Electronic Security Engineer.
*
Strong hands-on knowledge of CCTV, access control, door entry and intercom systems.
*
Experience of service, maintenance and fault diagnosis.
*
The ability to investigate technical problems and resolve them independently.
*
A good understanding of safe working practices and industry standards.
*
Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
*
A full UK driving licence.
Knowledge of IP networking and networked security systems would be beneficial.
You will need to be comfortable managing your own workload, working independently on customer sites and communicating effectively with the wider team.
