PK Education is currently recruiting a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Sheffield, with an immediate start available.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable stepping into the classroom and taking the lead from day one. You’ll need to be able to quickly pick up lesson plans, confidently manage groups of students and create a positive, focused learning environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll provide classroom cover in the absence of the usual teacher, delivering pre-planned work and ensuring students remain engaged, motivated and on task throughout the lesson.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience working with young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
Confidence managing a classroom and maintaining a positive learning environment.
The ability to quickly understand and deliver pre-planned lessons and activities.
Strong behaviour and classroom management skills.
A calm, professional and confident approach when dealing with challenging situations.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Reliability, organisation and the ability to adapt to different classes and situations.
The confidence to work independently while also being a strong team player.
Availability to start as soon as possible.
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
The opportunity
