The OpportunityWe are working with a leading multinational consultancy overseeing a major redevelopment programme at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth.
As part of this long-term UK Defence infrastructure programme, we are seeking an experienced MEP Delivery Manager – SCADA / Controls to provide client-side leadership and technical oversight of SCADA, controls and associated electrical systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer or Controls professional to play a key role in the delivery of complex, safety-critical infrastructure within a highly regulated environment.
The RoleAs the SCADA / Controls Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of SCADA, control and monitoring systems across the programme.
Working on behalf of the client, you will coordinate consultants, designers, contractors and other project stakeholders, ensuring that systems are designed, installed, integrated, commissioned and handed over in accordance with programme requirements, technical standards and applicable regulations.
Key responsibilities will include:

Lead the client-side delivery and technical oversight of SCADA, controls and associated electrical systems.
Manage delivery from design development through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
Review technical designs, specifications, drawings, contractor proposals and associated documentation.
Ensure SCADA and controls solutions meet the client's operational, technical, safety and security requirements.
Coordinate interfaces between controls systems and wider MEP, electrical, mechanical and infrastructure packages.
Oversee system integration and identify and manage technical/interface risks.
Monitor contractor performance, programme milestones, quality and technical compliance.
Support FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning and system acceptance activities.
Manage technical queries, design changes, defects and delivery issues through to resolution.
Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, operators and other key stakeholders.
Ensure appropriate technical documentation, records and assurance evidence are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Support successful handover into operation and ensure systems meet agreed performance requirements.About YouYou will be an experienced Electrical Engineer, Controls Engineer or MEP Delivery professional with a strong background in SCADA, industrial controls and/or automation systems.
You should have experience delivering technically complex projects and be comfortable operating in a client-side role where you will provide both technical leadership and delivery oversight.
Ideally, you will have:

Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation or a related discipline.
Strong technical knowledge of SCADA, PLC, control, monitoring and industrial automation systems.
Experience delivering controls or electrical systems through design, construction, commissioning and handover.
Experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Strong understanding of MEP and electrical interfaces within complex infrastructure projects.
Experience with system integration, testing and commissioning.
Strong technical review, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience working within highly regulated, safety-critical or secure environments.
Previous Defence, nuclear, marine, utilities, industrial or major infrastructure experience would be advantageous.SecurityDue to the nature of the programme, the successful candidate will be required to meet the appropriate UK security clearance and site-access requirements.
