The successful candidate will have a strong procurement background and experience managing complex projects or programmes. Although the position sits within an IT transformation programme, candidates from a range of procurement backgrounds will be considered where they can demonstrate strong strategic procurement and project management experience.
Typical duties:
* Lead strategic RFI and RFP activity, identifying suitable suppliers and partners
* Take ownership of complex procurement projects, working with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop appropriate SOWs
* Manage supplier relationships and contracts, ensuring performance, quality and delivery requirements are met
* Develop and support supplier relationship management strategies, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers
* Drive supplier performance, value creation and the resolution of commercial or delivery issues
The successful candidate:
* Experienced procurement professional with a strong track record of managing complex strategic projects or programmes
* Confident managing the full procurement process, including RFI/RFP activity, supplier selection, contracts and stakeholder engagement
* Comfortable working with international colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers
* Strong relationship builder with the confidence to operate at senior stakeholder level
* Able to take ownership of large procurement projects and drive them through to successful delivery
